Why May is my favourite month

May is my favorite month of the year! Here's a random list of reasons (yes my blog is full of personal lists):
  • First time I read Stephen King's IT. Not to mention my Henry x Patrick OTP addiction!
  • My 50s character, Aika, was made!
  • We had heat waves and warm weather
  • I got really back into sweet lolita
  • I found Kyary Pamyu Pamyu :D
  • My school life got lots better :P
So yes, this month is going to me attempting to relive last year's May! XD

Spring's Here And I'm Still Failing!

But I'm still drawing wintery-styled pictures. It's annoying. I always write down what I want to draw, but it seems to morph into something different every time.
I think it's my laziness - and also the fact that I always rush to finish what I'm drawing!
Ok! So my goal for the rest of the year is to think about quality, not quantity! :D
I think this goes well with my starry BG!
This picture was meant to be a coloured sketch, but for some reason it turned into a fully coloured picture. I love doing sketches but I get really OCD about the line work! So it turned out actually quite neat. It was meant to be a pic of Aika in her Innocent World dress, but I felt like doing a shiro lolita instead. Oh yeah, and the 'sweet rain' part was inspired by this song by Y&CO. :)

It was my sister's birthday on the 2nd (she's 10!), and I had a really nice time, but I ended up in hospital again as I had something like a fit/seizure. Another example of me failing! Damn my stupid brain!

Also! I'm starting to draw my fancomic, Funhouse, again! (It's a fancomic/doujin of Stephen King's IT with the pairing Henry x Patrick. My favourite book.) I wanted to have a week off drawing in black and white - it get's dull after a while - but it turned into a two month break. Whhhyyyy? Why do I lose track of time in such a bad way???

Isuls?

I've been looking on PullipStyle.com for ideas on my next doll (when I have money, which may be never with the amount of clothes I keep buying! XD) and I really love these dolls!

Isul Johan, which has clothes by BtSSB/AatP and a design by Mitsukazu Mihara, who I love btw... Orrrrrrr Isul Duke, who is really cute in design, and looks as if he could be Pullip Tiphona's brother or something!

I don't know because they're both really cute!

I want one to look like my OC, Alois (otherwise known as the Boy in Bikini...I have a sick mind XD) and they both are pretty similar.

Chainsaws! X3

I've discovered recently that I have a little fascination with chainsaws!

(Don't worry, I'm not a psychopath that's gonna kill you... XD)

I blame Grell Sutcliffe for this.... and also the music I've been listening to....

10 Ways to Beat the Winter Blues

If you're anything like me, and the winter season gets you down, follow these steps and stay happy! :D

1) Listen to up beat and happy music! Nothing makes me more depressed than listening to whiny emo teenager music! ;D But if that's what floats your boat, then do it. My favorite music at the moment is sugary Eurobeat and J-pop - as it reminds me of much happier times.

2) Be sure to wrap up warmly. Look for cute gloves, scarfs and hats to protect from harsh climates. Wooly hats with animal faces have always been popular.

3) Spend time with friends and family. It really helps just to have fun with the ones you love to be honest! You can go out playing in the snow (if it snows in your area) or just having a girls night in watching a movie with mugs of hot chocolate.

4) Retail Therapy! Or window shopping if you have no money like me! XD Don't go too overboard, but buy yourself something nice...

 5) Read books and comics that you like. At the moment I'm re-reading Hinako Takanaga's Challengers for the fourth time! <3 I have a friend that's reading all the Harry Potter books at the same time, for probably the 14th time in her life! One in each room of her house, I think... ;3

6) Get yourself into the Christmas spirit. Go buy a new Christmas tree if your old one's looking a little scrawny, or go gift shopping for loved ones. Listen to fun Christmas songs whilst you put decorations on the tree and try making home-made treats for friends. It's the thought that counts, really.

7) Find a good comedy to watch on TV! At the moment I find Miranda absolutely hilarious!! Austin Powers always goes down well too. XD

8) Search Tumblr and other picture/media websites for inspiring pictures of winter. I'm more of a summer kind of person, but looking at cute pastel pictures of winter and snow makes me feel better about the whole freezing to death-ness.

9) Make some Christmas cards with either shop-bought supplies or bits and pieces you find around the home.

10) Just smile! :)
