Recently I've been feeling really bored without some sewing to do, so I nipped across the road to the local fabric store for a look at the remnants, with the view of making a dress for my Pullip family. I found a perfect blue houndstooth fabric that is the perfect scale for making a doll dress, and not only that, but it only cost me 2 pounds for just less than a metre!
For Christmas I'm gaining two additional dolls to the family - two Dals; a make-it-own kit Dal and Dal Clair - and I thought I'd make the make-it-own doll as dress, seeing as she will be arriving naked!
I used a Barbie pattern from Herbie's Doll Sewing, Knitting and Crochet Pattern Collection and printed it out. It was very simple and I shall be using this website again, as there are some fantastic patterns there for free, most of them out of print! I really recommend it, as there are patterns for all sorts of dolls, including BJD, Dal, and Barbie.
Making the dress was rather hard, as I'm not very familiar with working with such a small scale. The sleeves were murder, as was the collar! In the end I rather like the results though, so I'm pleased I stuck with it. I've come a long way since making my first doll dress, as you can see here.
The lovely Celeste (Pullip Nella) was my model for the making and photographs, as Pullips, Dals and Barbies are relatively similar in size. I had the idea that if the dress didn't fit either the Pullips or the new Dal, then I'd buy myself a nice Barbie to fit it instead. ;) I have my eye on the Lady Tremaine Barbie from the latest Cinderella film, as her looks are rather vintage and I love the dress!
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

In the Navy
~You can sail the seven seas~
Finally, I've decided to take some Pullip photos again, this time with my latest addition to the doll family, Audrey!
My family and I went to the Maritime Museum at Liverpool's Albert dock. The museum was more of a serious place to be, as it was all about World Wars, Titanic and slavery, so I guess I wanted my photo edits to be less bright and cheery to match those dreadful things.
I was actually planning on taking some photos of her at the docks, but it was soooo bitterly cold that none of my family could stand it. We went to both museums on the dock as well, as my father wanted to see his martial arts teacher at the Chinese display.
Oh, and happy belated Chinese New Year!

My Doll Collection So Far!
I've finished setting up my display cabinet for my Pullip dolls. There are a few empty spaces, but Christmas and my future birthdays shall soon sort that out... *nudge nudge, wink wink* I apologise for the terrible photos, it's just that it's very difficult to take photos of something so tall and narrow when the photographer is short and clumsy. *laughs*

Pullip Doll Nella
For my 16th birthday I received Pullip Nella from my parents! She's so beautiful, and seeing as she has a slightly darker colour scheme in her clothes, I'm calling her Celeste, like stars in the night sky.
Pullip Nella has golden blonde hair in an intricate braided style. Her hair is long, soft and beautiful, but due to the style there's no chance it will become tangled. She has dark hazel-green eyes, similar to Johan's in style, but a completely different colour. She is my first doll with pale pink lips, and they're just adorable! Nella's outfit is made by Alice and the Pirates, a gothic lolita brand, and comes with a matching headdress. My favourite part of her outfit is her harlequin-styled tights and tiny shoes!
I've decided long ago that she'll be Johan's older sister, aged 15, and lives in Cologne with him in the 1930s. She goes to an all-girls school, but really wishes she could be with her brother instead, as she's not a big fan of her school. Her hobbies are singing, playing the piano - especially practicing études - dancing, and watching the stars.
My collection is getting rather big so I recently got a glass display cabinet from IKEA to put them all in. So far it hasn't been assembled yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Birthday Haul!
This post is due to the reason that I'm a spoiled brat and love material-world goods. *laughs* I'm really grateful for all my gifts, they're all just so special to me! My real birthday is on the 22nd October, but we celebrated it early again this year, as the 22nd is a bad, busy day for all of my family - plus, school. My day was spent pottering around dressed in lolita, reading my new books and unwrapping poor Nella - so a really good day!
Reviews for books, TV series and my new Pullip will come soon!

Afternoon Stroll in the Meadows, Promises Exchanged at Sunset
It was a beautiful day, so I wanted to take some photos of Aika and Beverly in the park. I think they look really cute together! These shots were taken in the rose gardens at Hesketh park, yet there were no roses in season at the time, so I used the bluebells and daisies.

Waiting for Spring to Arrive
That's what I'm waiting for anyway... The weather is so gross in England right now! I can't wait for spring and summer.
And here's Johan being tortured... I mean, and here's Johan posing for a photograph. I was going to take photos of him in the park, but it started raining very heavily and I had to make do with indoors... My mum bought me some daffodils and these other purple flowers (I'm not sure what they're called) so I used them instead. About the setting of the photo... I'm not even sure why I arranged it like that, ahaha.
Today I'll be revising for my French exam next week. It's going well so far, I've just got a couple more paragraphs to memorize and I'll be done. Also, in the evening I think I'll watch Les Amitiés Particulières for about the third or fourth time.

Smooth Sailing
Here is Beverly, the wonderful Pullip doll I got for my 15th birthday!
My family and I went to a different park this time to get these photos.
It was freezing!
I named her Beverly after Beverly Marsh from Stephen King's It, mostly because of the red hair, but also because I just love her name! I called this Smooth Sailing after an Ella Fitzgerald song!

Aika at Botanic Gardens
The old Victorian greenhouses inside Botanic Gardens are really cute and
magical feeling! It has this really forest-y smell and there's
waterfalls and wishing wells along with the flora and fauna. These cute
little spiders kept floating down on their threads when I was walking
past, and one of them attacked my brother!
I took photos of Aika and made a wish in the wishing well. I think
Botanic Gardens is one of my favourite parks as it's very Victorian
styled.

Forgotten Pictures of Aika
I forgot to upload these pics ;w; however I've edited them slightly by making the colours pop more.
This is my precious Pullip doll Aika - her model is Tiphona and she was named Aika after my favourite OC.
I felt like submitting a photo of her as a reminder to do more
photography. I think this one was taken back in April. Tomorrow I'll
take some better photos with my Granddad's camera to tie in with my
school art work. Oh, and I'm getting another Pullip soon! The model is
Pullip Merl, but I'm still trying to think of a name for her (I'm
thinking either Beverly or Marlin). It arrived yesterday but my dad
wouldn't allow me to have her as it's a birthday present! I have to wait
a whole month *cries* and I can tell he was amused by it!
I know these photos aren't very artistic as the background is cluttered, but I like all the contrasting colours and hues. :)
I'm really busy at the moment! I've got photos to take of dolls, I'm working on several stories (both original and fanfiction), a Autumn-y, creepy picture (that you can see the WIP on my art Tumblr) and also a Meme with my friend Wendy to take care of.

Isuls?
I've been looking on PullipStyle.com for ideas on my next doll (when I have money, which may be never with the amount of clothes I keep buying! XD) and I really love these dolls!
Isul Johan, which has clothes by BtSSB/AatP and a design by Mitsukazu Mihara, who I love btw... Orrrrrrr Isul Duke, who is really cute in design, and looks as if he could be Pullip Tiphona's brother or something!
I don't know because they're both really cute!
I want one to look like my OC, Alois (otherwise known as the Boy in Bikini...I have a sick mind XD) and they both are pretty similar.

Pullip Purikura
Hi :) Happy new year!
Recently I downloaded a new app on my sister's iPod touch, called Girls Camera.
It's so fun!
P.S. In the bottom picture is Aika's new outfit that I got for Christmas!

Pullip Doll Tiphona
Yesterday my first Pullip doll, Tiphona, arrived from America!
She's just so beautiful! I would recommend Tiphona to any doll lover, as her hair is so soft and her face up so gentle.
She's wearing clothes and accessories designed by Japanese lolita brand, Innocent World. The clothes are of immaculate quality with so much detail! If I had enough money, I would buy the human-sized version, even though I'm more of a sweet and gothic lolita rather than classic. The doll came with tiny shoes, a gorgeous headband and a really cute headband.
Her eyes can change direction rather than colour. The colour of her eyes look really natural.
I'm calling her Aika Takanaga after my favourite OC.
They look kind of alike, I suppose! :)

Aika is from the 50s, and she loves drawing comics and singing. She is half Japanese, half French, but lives with her rich and famous father and two elder brothers in Maine.
Her star sign is Gemini and she was born on the 26th May, 1945 (13-14 years old).
She is quiet, bubbly, friendly, fashionable and artistic. Aika likes spending time with her friend, Cherry Misaki.
